NYC instruments (guitars and basses) are sold direct with a 7-day return policy.

$500 deposit required.

What control layout do you want for your S or T guitar?*

Vintage has a pickguard and control plate (for T style guitars) and standard has no pickguard.

What control layout do you want for your Broadway (SS-13 or LS-13) guitar?*

Control Layout 1 puts the switch on the bottom with the volume control in easy reach, ideal for pinky rolls. Control Layout 2 puts the pickup selector on top with the controls laid out behind the switch. Note: All Broadway guitars come standard with our Sadowsky preamp that features mid boost, gain boost, and true bypass.

What control layout do you want for your Full Sized Body (Ultra Vintage)Control layout?*

For our Ultra Vintage basses with full sized bodies, only vintage style (with pickguard/plate) is available.

What control layout do you want for your 4-21 or 5-21 bass?*

Vintage has a pickguard and control plate (for J style basses) and standard is rear routed with no pickguard.

What control layout do you want for your 4-21 or 5-21 Verdine White bass?*

Verdine White basses now come in a standard version (without a pickguard) or a vintage version (with a pickguard and plate). The Verdine White model is a PJ bass on a 21 fret J-body with a 1.5” nut width.

What control layout do you want for your 4-22 or 5-22 Will Lee bass?*

Vintage has a pickguard and control plate (for J style basses) and standard is rear routed with no pickguard. No upcharge for a vintage style Will Lee bass.

What control layout do you want for your 4-24 or 5-24 bass?*

Vintage has a pickguard and control plate (for J style basses) and standard is rear routed with no pickguard. Vintage style is included in the price of a Will Lee bass.

What control layout do you want for your 5-24 Single Cut bass?*

Vintage has a pickguard and control plate (for J style basses) and standard is rear routed with no pickguard. Vintage style is included in the price of a Will Lee bass.

Body Wood*

All of our bodies come standard with chambering and a top. There is no additional charge for Alder or Okoume.

Watler Becker Body Wood*

The standard Walter Becker body wood is chambered swamp ash. If you would like something different, please indicate in the notes.

Top Wood*

Check our master grade gallery for master grade top availability. Availability of standard grade tops depends on our shop stock. For solid color finishes (or if you do not want a figured top wood), choose "no figured top."

Walter Becker Model Top Wood*

The standard Walter Becker model has a specially selected, flamed and spalted top. The standard price for this is $500, but could be more depending on what we have in stock. We will discuss this with you during the consultation. You also have the option of choosing "no figured top."

Construction

Chambered body construction is standard for all of our instruments for lighter weight and better resonance. If you want a solid body, please put it in the special notes section below.

These are our standard finishes. If you are looking for something else, please check "custom" and let us know what finish you want in the "custom note." Not sure what you want yet? Leave it blank.

Walter Becker Finish

The Walter Becker model comes standard with a '59 Burst Finish.

What custom finish?

Matching finish headstock (headstock finish and body finish match)?*

Note: we can paint headstocks the same solid color as a body. Ex: if you have a lake placid blue body, we can finish your headstock the same color. We cannot match transparent or transparent burst body colors and headstocks—often the wood is different and they will not match. We also do not match body top woods and headstocks, ex: we cannot match a spalted body with a spalted headstock veneer.

Guitar Binding*

Bass Pickup Configuration*

60's: bridge pickup is closer to the neck. 70's: bridge pickup is closer to the bridge. Modern: neck pickup is slightly farther from the neck than a typical J and the bridge pickup is closer to the bridge. Super P and Super J pickups include installation of a coil selector switch and associated wiring.

Bass Electronics options for non-Will Lee and Single Cut basses.*

All are 4 knob configurations with active preamps and a side jack. Our mid boost preamp comes standard on Will Lee and Single Cut models. If you would like it added, select it for any other model.

All S and T style guitars come standard with our Sadowsky preamp that features mid boost, gain boost, and true bypass.
