Fred S. in Scotch Plains, NJ asks: Are Sadowsky basses available with one-piece bodies? Also, does a one-piece body enhance the tone of a bass?

Roger Sadowsky answers: We do not use one-piece bodies as it is extremely difficult to find wood wide enough, and they are prone to extreme cupping and warping. Most of our bodies are two-piece. They are much more stable and when matched properly, look even nicer than a one-piece body. There are no sonic advantages to a one-piece body.
