Dirk asks: I've seen that my outboard preamp footpedal is different from the one on the homepage. It has smaller knobs and no "on" LED. Is this a kind of former version? Is this all that is different from the present version?
Roger Sadowsky answers: About a year into production of the Preamp/DI Pedal, we made the following changes:
  • Added larger knobs with an indicator line
  • Added an LED to indicate when the preamp was activated or bypassed
  • Relabeled the Bypass footswitch to ON/OFF
  • Relabeled the ground lift switch to make it more obvious which direction was the ground lift.

These are the only changes between the two versions. The larger knobs can be added to the older preamps, but they cover the "hash" marks on the casing.
