Born and raised in Sydney, Australia, Tal chose music over the high school experience and moved to the US at a very young age. She rapidly became known for her remarkable sense of time and musicality and started working around LA on various sessions and gigs. After two years, she moved to New York, and since then she has performed with such luminary musicians as Jeff "Tain" Watts, the Allman Brothers band, Leni Stern, Russel Ferrante, Susan Tedeschi, Hiram Bullock, Kenwood Dennard, Adam Deitch and Dave Kikoski.

Tal recently recorded her first CD, where she composed, produced, arranged and played bass on eight intricate tunes with Wayne Krantz, Geoffrey Keezer, Seamus Blake, and Keith Carlock, with special guests Samuel Torres and Oteil Burbridge.

She is proud to be a Sadowsky bass and string endorser.
