"Roger Sadowsky's Jim Hall model is, quite simply, the archtop I have been looking for for some years, and more. That's no exaggeration!
It gives me a lovely warm sound but with clarity and separation in chords. It has a remarkably even, singing response across the full range and, used with a good acoustic amp, has a light, transparent tonal quality which is exactly what I was seeking. It is an electric archtop but gives a surprisingly good acoustic sound also. Perfectly set up, it is a dream to play, has great intonation and is, aesthetically, a beautiful instrument too.
