I've recently seen that Sadowsky has stopped using the old retainers bars on their 5 string basses.

I remember that the retainers were always set up with springs between the neck and the bar.

I read around and one person's thoughts about the springs is that they made string changes easier.

Did these retainers come from the supplier with the springs, or did they have to be bought aftermarket?

Greetings from Nottingham, England.

Got my first Sadowsky in January this year (5P/J) and it still blows me away every time I play it... Incredible!

Very nice indeed! With that beautiful flamed top, it has to be a NYC Modern 5 and not a Metro. (M5-24)

Oops - I stand corrected. When I bought it, from Kevin, no one mentioned what it was called. I assumed the M meant maple (fingerboard). Nevertheless it is a great bass.

The latest one I tried is the BOSS ac adapter that works with all their pedals and has the exact same specs as yours.

If I buy yours and it still hums can I return it?

Thanks

Ralph

Here is a track featuring our very own Kevin Drexler on his 4 string J.

And what a beauty that J4 is too! (hint - hint)  Wink
Great clip & tone Kevin. Thanks for the treat.
