This is very interesting to me, as I have both a reverse PJ and a 70's spaced JJ.
I am toying with the idea of getting a BS next...
Hey gillento, can you describe the tone difference between your two sadowskys (reverse PJ vs. 70's JJ)? Which is more aggressive? which is warmer? Or just any comments u could give on the sound would be great :-) (are they the same body and fingerboard combination?)
The UV5 (70's JJ) is ash/morado and the PJ5 is alder/brazilian RW.
So the PJ is much warmer, due to woods and PUs (humcancelling) I suppose whereas the UV is far more aggressive (having SCs).
The UV5 (although having a morado board) seems even snappier than my maple boarded MV5.
Note: the J on the PJ is a bit closer to the bridge than on standard 60's placement on my MV5
