Really diggin' the super slim neck on this puppy.  Quite a change after playing my UV70 5-string for most of the last 2 years...

I'm also wondering how many metro "P's" are made relative to "PJ's"Huh  Doesn't seem like you see too many...

I could lay it on the Fender & PM you the pic if you like.
Will have to wait a day or so.

That would be great!  I'd really appreciate it!

...New to me anyway.  Just picked this up off TB.  Also scored a Sadowsky Portabag in the deal! Cool

The plan is to set this guy up with some flats and have it as my change of pace tone relative to my UV70.  This is the bass I had thoughts of getting refinished in black (before Roger discouraged the idea), but the Sonic Blue is really growing on me.  Still kicking around the idea of a tort pickguard (anybody have any pix of a Sonic Blue/tort combo???).  Solo and family pix...

Thanks for the honest advice.  Maybe I'll try a new pick guard first!!!  Grin

Merry Christmas everyone!

As a quasi-Christmas present to myself, I picked up a used Sadowsky Metro P-Bass.  It's a little scratched up, and is not exactly my favorite color.  Have any of you at the shop done a refinish?

These pics make it look like one of those times that reinforces the internal statement..." so THIS is why I play bass ! "
B.

Absolutely.  I actually had two gigs like this within a week of each other.

The day after the second one, I played in a garage at a 4th of July party.  Quite the range of venues... Grin

"Rockin' On The River", Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, 6-25-10...

UV70 > Mesa M6 > 2x Epifani UL-210...

Fun gig:  Good crowd, good (hot!) weather, played really well...

The last shot is "backstage" after our initial teardown.  It also shows my Lakland Glaub that I always bring to the gig but never pick up... Wink

Hey!  I was at BB's in NYC on 6/6/10!  Caught some blues in the smaller room...

Finally back online after the NYC long weekend followed by a conference in Detroit...

Enjoyed my visit to the shop.  Kevin and Robert made me feel right at home, and weren't happy until I was satisfied with the mods and setup to my UV70.  Had my first gig last night (It's been a crazy week) with the VTC, and it's exactly what I was after.  Thanks guys!

Got to try everything on the wall, too.  The Will Lee feels pretty awesome.  The light weight of the chambered bodies on the NYC's is amazing, too...

I'm leaving for my first visit to NYC tomorrow morning, which is a birthday present from my wonderful wife.

After a couple of days of being a tourist, I'll be stopping in the shop Monday morning.  I shipped my UV70RW-5 there for an upgrade to get a VTC, as well as strings (Blue Label!) and a setup.  I might be convinced to try a couple other basses while I'm there... Wink

Full report to follow...

Relatively new setup, so still experimenting...

Really, just look at this....

Have you ever seen a bass so ugly?

Why...yes, as a matter of fact I have.  Separated at birth...?   Cool

Thanks for setting this up!  It's great that you provide this means of sharing all things Sadowsky...

I'm looking forward to meeting you when I pick up my bass from your shop on the 7th...
